The Virginia DMV is pleasing to me. Personalized plates are fairly cheap and you can actually see exactly what they'll look like before you buy.

Here's the one I've had for a number of years. I still love the Rat, but it's just not the same anymore. Damn you, Chris Carter!

But I'm moving up in the world of archvillains. No more hiding in the shadows. No more crashing in cheap dives. No, it's the penthouse all the way on my descent into the Dark Side. My new plate:

My mother is still sighing at me. "An assassin?" she said when I got KRYCEK. "Couldn't you pick somebody good?" Now that I've got LEXCORP, she just shakes her head sadly.

I was amazed that it was available. I thought surely some comics fan would have grabbed it long ago. But I guess everybody thought it was already taken. It's like my friend who's had ANAKIN for about 4 or 5 years now. Tons of Star Wars fans around here but somehow nobody thought of it till TPM and she'd already gotten it. Her husband's car is 1KFLCN (that's Millennium Falcon to you), one friend is B KENOBI, another is PADAWAN (though in a different state), and my sister-in-law is BTAZOID (she just had to stick in a Trek ref).
