Open Memo to the Idiot in Question
Jun. 5th, 2002 03:37 pmDear Sir Who Called in the Bomb Threat on Monday,
Thank you. It was so thrilling to hear the intercom just before noon: "Please evacuate the building. A bomb threat has been received. Please evacuate the building. This is not a drill."
Thank you. It was more exciting than words can say to stumble out into the scorching sun and mill about, wondering what was going to happen next.
Thank you. The delay in my projects was just what I was hoping for when I came into work that morning. The tension headache was so worth it. The worry, the anxiety, the fucking dread you injected into my day -- how could I ever live without them?
You freaking, fucking moron.

Date: 2002-06-05 07:42 pm (UTC)I want to forget standing in the street and watching the black smoke pouring out of the WTC Towers.
And yet... this morning, while I was watching "Forever Knight," the screen went green as they put on their regularly scheduled test of the EMS, and I said, "Fuckers," and it was a good few seconds before I realized that it could be something important, and was glad it was "a test, only a test."
