The 2006 Star Wars Fan Film Contest is now open at Atom Films and I'm pimping Pitching Lucas.
Directed by Shane Felux of Revelations fame, it's a very funny and beautifully filmed look at the inside of George Lucas's head as studio executives pitch their ideas for the new Star Wars television show. I admit I'm biased (I PA'd on this gig) but from the lighting to the sound to the music to the costumes and everything in between, this is an all-around first-rate production.
There's 9 other short films vying for top honors this year (and yes, it is an honor just to be nominated because the number of submissions is enormous and only a handful are chosen to compete) and you can view them all.
But remember, vote for Pitching Lucas. This is the internet. I know where you live.
