Fooled around and adapted the "Refried Paper" style for my LJ and Friends pages. I like it a lot.
Of course, I also liked the "Disjointed" style I worked on yesterday. Then I got home and found out that it kept blowing up Netscape (no problem in IE). It was clearly something I had done, as other people's "Disjointed" pages loaded in Netscape just fine. So I mucked about with it while I was IRCing last night and wham! I was innocently formatting day/date stuff when all of a sudden, my sidebar migrated to the bottom of the page. Wha'fa? Mucked a bit more, but as the denizons of #smallville can attest, I retained enough intelligence to realize that I was too tired and frustrated at 2 a.m. to do anything but make it worse.
Decided this morning that whoever created "Disjointed" did not love anyone completely unfamiliar with style sheets, as all my tinkering was purely on a hit-and-miss, "change one thing and see what happened" level. The creator of "Refried Paper" was much less cryptic.
And now I have a beeeeautiful sidebar that I can just put whatever I want on and it'll continue to look fabulous. You know, I'll just kill myself if I go home and open my LJ and Netscape blows up again.
