I blame kstanley, who was talking about reading The Hot Zone the other day, which prompted my visit to the CDC's page on the Special Pathogens Branch, where I found this lovely little hantavirus-carrying deermouse. Isn't it cute?

Of course, I'm the kind of girl who reads Deadly Feasts in steakhouses. YMMV.

Yes, now that Ebola has a vaccine, we can go back to good old diseases from the Middle Ages. Good old Bubonic Plague!

I work in an organization with a lot of nurses. Still remembering lunch, where in nurses discussed the happenings in "The Hotzone" in detail. With symptoms.

Deseases is in my top five unpleasant things, thanks.
