My journal is currently called just give me what I want and no one gets hurt because I've found -- and taught many others -- that life is just better if we all live by this little philosophy. My list of (humble and reasonable) demands will reach you soon.
My subtitle is currently a place called vertigo because, while not a big U2 fan, I really like that song, Hitchcock's film is one of my favorites, and I really like the implied dizzyingness of the internet experience.
My friends page is currently called round up the usual suspects because that's what you people are. Taken, of course, from Casablanca. (One of the world's greatest films.) Oh, and Brian Singer used it for as the title for some other movie I might have heard of. And adore.
My username is ladyvyola because Twelfth Night is one of my favorite plays, pansies are one of my favorite flowers, I prefer handles with Y's in them, and lo, those many years ago when I was 'vyola' on AOL, I had a billing problem and couldn't get the name back when it was resolved, added the 'lady' and never looked back.
My name is currently just here for the pretty, ma'am because that sums up a good deal of my LiveJournal experience. And it sounds like a line that any of the Firefly characters might say.
My default userpic is subject to change depending on what I feel like looking at up in the corner. Right now, it's penguins dammit with text of "you moron - I said antarctica, not atlantis" because a) penguins! b)Stargate: Atlantis (and how can I resist a fandom that's weird about penguins?), c)Madagascar-type penguin attitude, and d) penguins!
And by now you should have figured out that I like movies, tv, penguins, and things that work on more than one level.
