In the latest batch of junk mail (thank you, Hotmail! I keep you around so I can give out an addy I really don't care about!) I have received:
+ conflicting hot man-on-man/hot lesbian teen action mailings (if I was sexually conflicted, this sure wouldn't help)
+ conflicting "ensure your privacy"/"learn anything about anyone" mailings
+ conflicting "stop hair loss"/"remove unwanted hair" mailings
+ morgage offers though I own no house and degree offers worth only the paper they're printed on
+ barnyard fun (why doesn't PETA go after them?)
+ fake celebrity pics and webcam links up the wazoo (a delicate place, prone to anguished twinges when something is inserted forcefully)
+ more 'designer imposters' viagra offers than even Bob Dole and that NASCAR driver could shake a stick at (unfortunate image, that)
In other words, all the usual. But there are the occasional gems:

there's a reason I'm afraid to follow open these e-mails....
And my personal favorite today:
Vyola, you've won a chance!
not that I've actually won anything, mind you, just a chance to win
And that's just Hotmail. I have MSN at home and I barely publicize that addy 'cuz I simply don't use it. But they've sold me out up and down the Net and I've got the mail to prove it. Which is why I'm willing to put up with a lot of Yahoo's shenanigans in other areas. Because I get a fraction of the spam even though that addy is the addy I use for mailing lists and have plastered all over webpages and guestbooks. And Yahoo's Bulk Mail filter actually works.
