Yuletide rec: Magicians Married

yuletide stories aren't to be judged on length. As long as they hit 1000 words, it's all to the good. And I'm pleased with the story I myself wrote, which at just over that mark does what I wanted it to do and says what I wanted to to say.

But there's something about a nice, long, plotty story (what can I say, I appreciate [other people's] hard work)....

To which I commend to your attention my own yuletide present, Magicians Married, which clocks in at a deliciously decadent 72K (some 12,800 words) of magical Regency goodness set in the Mairelon the Magician books of Patricia C. Wrede. Kim and Richard begin married life and stumble across a complex arcane mystery. There's intrigue and romance and what I keep thinking of as the hope chest of Dr. Dee. What a treat to wake up early for!
