idle hands

A few more icons. I'm finding it quite relaxing. What, does Photoshop give off Prozac-like vibes?

I need remote loading. I'd be willing to give Yahoo Geocities 5 bucks a month just for the convenience, but I've got a friend who's trying to get his own server up and running. If he does, I'll have a lovely new web site. So my intrinsic lazyness is keeping me from looking for another service just yet and why give Yahoo money when my friend needs it more?

Today's Pet Peeves

I'm sure others have said it before and better, but so what? I'm peevish, dammit.

~ People who post their story a chapter at a time, when each said "chapter" is really a scant paragraph or two. When compiled, the "story" is probably only a page long. While I don't know any of these posters personally, I've forever pegged them as immature teenies, regardless of chronological age.

~ People who have subscribed to the Strathmeyer syndicate dictum that every "chapter" (see above definition) must end with either a question mark or an exclamation point. And they don't restrict themselves to the positively puritan standard of just one, either. No, they pile them on, as if punctuation will convey the emotion they forgot to include in their writing. To add insult to injury, they often mix the two, a hybrid that only comic strip creators are permitted to use and then only under strict supervision.

~ People whose intros, disclaimers, shout-outs, author's notes, song lyrics, whines for feedback and .sig files are all much, much longer than their "chapter" (I told you once; don't make me tell you again). It's a fic list, dammit. Don't make me dig for the fic.

This post brought to you by the letter V, which indicates that I am attracted by the gay scene even if I am not inclined that way, and the letter S, which means I'm secretive and self-contained.

Hit the Euphemism Generator (it's Always Amusing!tm)

Every morning, he woke up polishing the sacred bald-headed puppy.

Anyone else going to weird Smallville/*nsync crossover places?

And sad to say, I'd probably read it if I found it. I am a pathetic fic junkie. I'm on the corner of the Internet Superhighway, begging for 40K of prose. The slash community made me; they should be responsible for me.
