I am the 299^th sign-up for While We Tell of Yuletide Treasure 2005.

I offered 61 fandoms.

61, people.

And there's no asterisk there, much as I love Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane (but dislike baseball in general). [/ramble]

This is, of course (desperately looking on the brightside), an improvement from the 110 fandoms I culled from the master list.

61 fandoms that I feel I either know or can get to know well enough in the time available and that I can be enthusiastic about.

Really, though, Yuletide is the best thing ever. Obscurity seems to evoke quality; the gold to dross ratio is incredibly high.

This is almost entirely true. On the other hand, I have a very short lists of fandoms I promised myself not to request, because they had crappy output last year.

There's certain fandoms I'd love to read but I just know that I'd get bad sap. I want the same complexity as the source, dammit! So I control myself. And dream.
